Welcome to Camptel Poconos

Four of us stayed at Camptel Poconos this past weekend (Labor Day weekend, Friday-Monday) and we were all so pleased with our stay. We have had so many summer camping plans ruined by bad weather this year, so we decided to start looking for camping options where if it rained we could still go. I stumbled across Camptel while google searching cabin camping. The price for Camptel compared to other super barebones cabin camping was a big difference. Not only that, but the "cabins" are shipping container tiny houses, which I thought was very unique and super cute. So we booked it! We booked the Red Fox which was one of the bigger ones and had a roofdeck. When we arrived we were greeted by Marianne who was delightful! She drove us over to our tiny home and showed us how everything worked, brought us our propane and explained all the amenities (hot tubs, saunas, etc). Marianne was easy to contact all weekend when we needed more propane, questions on where to get firewood (you need to provide your own firewood for the communal firepit, otherwise each unit has a propane pit), etc. The land was clean, and had so much to do. Each shipping container has its own unique charm, some are super tiny with lofts, some are a little bigger like ours, and 2 (?) have roof decks. Our roof deck was perfect for morning reading or coffee drinking. There are yard games like badminton, cornhole, horse shoes, etc. The hot tubs were always warm and clean, open late and despite how close the units appear, it still felt pretty private. We barely saw any other guests and we stay up pretty late. I could go on and on, the stay at Camptel was so wonderful. Adorable spot VERY close to Hickory Run and Lake Harmony. We will 100% be back, we absolutely loved it.

We stayed two days here in a cabin. Marianne is great host and she is very helpful and kind. We had small issue with AC units but Marianne took care of immediately. We had great and memorable stay with family. There are outdoor sports (volleyball, badminton, soccer, frisbee, etc) and indoor game like Darts, ping-pong (small size) and Gym. We loved hot-tub, Saunas. Community Hammock and campfire is enjoyable. Places are very clean and well lighted. Rooms are clean and have TV(Roku) coffee maker, microwave, fridge and shower. Basically, we just need to bring Gas/Wood/Charcoal and basic cooking items and this place is good to enjoy and relax. We are planning to book in future.

Went into this unsure what to expect and left completely satisfied with my experience. First off, it’s approx 25 mins from all outdoors experiences surrounding with a dollar general about 7 mins away for needs. One of the best waterfalls is 3 miles away. Host is extremely accommodating and friendly. Stocked with sheets, pillows and bedding (which are all clean and comfortable) Many towels and cloths Soap, toothpaste, dishwashing soap, toilet paper and paper towels Coffee maker with filters included and packages of coffee , tea , paper cups Propane fireplace outside And a park style grill The shower has great water pressure! You get hot water for a great while of time as well. Never had any WiFi issues at all. It very quiet. My unit Me. Plum was next to the road- I was worried about it being noisy - it wasn’t at all. Barely noticed the road being there! The sauna is legit! I loved it.
